Designed to be the ultimate in headrest support, the Universal Headrest complements many new and existing seating systems.

Incorporating the very latest in soft grade foam and design technology the Universal Headrest follows the contours of the head and neck providing excellent support and comfort.  The castellated foam provides air channels to help reduce moisture and temperature build up that in turn reduces the potential for sheer pressure.  Ultimately though the castellated foam encourages immersion of the head into the foam for improved comfort and stability.

Integral to the headrest is the antimicrobial and anti dust-mite treatment built into the headrest at the time of manufacture.  The additive provides protection against fungi, bacteria and dust-mites as well as providing odour prevention and hygienic freshness importantly it also protects against MRSA.

The Universal Headrest can be attached to specific Kirton chairs using a Velcro strap or for more general applications a weighted version is available for example, for use with the Signature range.

Spacer Fabric
The Universal Headrest can be upholstered in a range of fabric options, however, the innovative 3D Spacer fabric enhances the properties of the headrest’s design.

Produced by knitting two surfaces together with a third “spacer” knit provides a space for air to circulate, moisture to dissipate and improves the cushioning characteristics of the underlying foam.
