DBO Patient Chair

Our research showed that patients commonly sit in bedside chairs for long haul flight durations. The reason we feel bad after a long haul flight is not because we have travelled through different flight zones, it is because we have been sat for long periods with little opportunity to move. This insight early in the design process meant that patient comfort was a major priority.

By incorporating our patented Intelli-Gel technology into the chair’s cushion, this has ensured the DBO Patient Bedside Chair greatly reduces the risk of pressure ulcers (suitable for those at very high risk or with a Grade II pressure ulcer [EPUAP]) and achieves the ultimate comfort levels for patients at all times.

Hygiene is also a key focus in the design of the DBO Patient Bedside chair. The chair’s removable cushions simplify the cleaning process and have a single peripheral weld with no seams for added sanitation, and the chair can also be steam cleaned.
