The hip belts from Bodypoint are exceptionally durable and superb quality. The custom-woven nylon webbing is engineered for slip-resistance, strength and long-life.

The patented Laminar Pads are shaped to fit the body and distribute pressure for all-day comfort.

With the option of either Two-Point or Four-Point Padded, Centre Pull Hip Belts, peace of mind can be had knowing the firm compact Push-Button prevents accidental release. The Centre-Pull adjustment allows for tightening of the belt at the centre buckle and is particularly suitable for clients with low muscle tone or weakness.

Two-Point hip belts are suitable when the belt is supporting users with low tone or weakness.

Four-Point hip belts provide support like the Two-Point version but with secondary attachments that prevent the belt from riding up the abdomen or twisting. It holds the pelvis more firmly in position where the client has a lot more movement.

Selecting Hip Belts:

Measure hip width across the greater trochanters with the person seated. If the hip width falls between sizes on the chart, consider other factors such as growth, weight changes and clothing.

Ankle Huggers and Toe Straps

The importance of lower body positioning

Lower body positioning affects the position of the pelvis, balance and freedom of movement of the upper body.

Velcro Release Ankle Huggers help to stabilise feet whilst allowing controlled movement. In addition they reduce joint stress by holding above the ankle and the soft Velcro adjustment strap greatly improves comfort and tolerence for positioning as it conforms to the ankle curvature. The Velcro closure assures a snug fit for each user.

Incorporation of Toe Straps can provide additional stability and positioning to the user and are supplied separately to the Ankle Huggers.

Fitting Ankle Huggers

Ankle Huggers and Toe Straps can only be used in conjunction with chairs that have footrests to attach them to. They require factory fitting at time of order.

BodyPoint Positioning Aids: Ankle Huggers, Toe Straps and Footplates

Please find following essential information for specifying the Bodypoint Ankle Huggers, Toe Straps and Footplates.

In order to provide the equivalent to a pair of Foot Sandals then the appropriate sized Ankle Huggers must be purchased alongside the BodyPoint Footplates (2 required) and Toe Straps.

These items have separate product codes and pricing and must be specified individually on orders.

Bodypoint Shower Chair Belt

The Bodypoint Shower Chair Belt provides security without compromising comfort and positioning. Water and air pass easily through the innovative Aeromesh fabric allowing the user to be bathed completely. This distinctive belt is then able to dry quickly after use.

Its universal shape enables the belt to be used in a variety of ways depending on individual need. The flexible, padded belt can be used across the chest or abdomen to prevent forward or lateral falls. Additionally, fitting a belt across the knees or legs can prevent users slipping or slumping when seated.

It is simply attached to the frame of the shower chair using rust-proof clamps.
